Basque song contest in the Northern Basque Country

We once again collaborate with the Culture Centre HAIZE BERRI in this project.

The aim of this project is to organise the BASQUE SONG CONTEST with participants from the three provinces of the Northern Basque Country (Iparralde). The three finalists will then take part in the grand final of the entire Basque Country.

A great many singers and groups have made a name for themselves in the world of Basque music thanks to the BASQUE SONG CONTEST, particularly those from the Northern Basque Country (Iparralde): Magali Zubillaga, Erramun Martikorena, Jojo Bordegaray, Ramuntxo’s partner, Maialen Errotabehere… Many singers from the Southern Basque Country (Hegoalde) have also gained a reputation: Patxi Saiz, Rakel Pujana, Mikel Urdangarin…
