Basque-speakers in Maule

ZINKA BIZIRIK saw the light of day as a meeting point for Basque-speakers in Maule. Seventeen associations from Soule (Zuberoa) have taken the initiative to create an Association Centre, a totally open meeting point, to promote the Basque language and Basque culture.

They shall have premises covering a hundred square metres in the centre of the capital, Maule, complete with bar and stage. This shall be the base used by all of the associations for joint work to achieve the following objectives: to promote social relations between local Basque-speakers, organise an area for cultural promotion, promote the use of the Basque language and present the creative work of young Basque artists.

In order to do this, it is essential to unify and structure the joint work of all of the associations comprising ZINKA BIZIRIK. With the aid of UDALBIDE, a person shall be hired to coordinate and manage the project.
