Hezkuntza / Nafarroa - 2005/07/11
The Argia Basque-language school (ikastola) was created in 1984 by a group of parents from Tudela, La Ribera and surrounding area. It started out with 5 students and now has 234 aged from 0 to 16. It is currently the only option that the local population of more than 100,000 has for its children to receive their education in Basque.
Given the forecast increase in students, the school has bought a new building. Having studied what is required, and given that a sports centre needs to be built, the Argia Basque-language school (ikastola) has set up this project with the collaboration of UDALBIDE Elkarlan Elkartea.
