The added value of agriculture in the Northern Basque Country

Half of the working population of the Northern Basque Country (Iparralde) currently works in farming-related areas.

The agricultural world is where the Basque language is most used and best preserved. EUSKAL HERRIKO LABORANTZA GANBARA aims to develop popular, sustainable agriculture.

EUSKAL HERRIKO LABORANTZA GANBARA shall provide farmers with the information and training they need in order to carry out their work. To start with, it wants to create a Data Base on Agricultural Transformation.

To this end, it aims to create an Observatory on Agricultural Transformation in the Northern Basque Country (Ipar Euskal Herria) with the collaboration of UDALBIDE.

In addition to the above, there is another, third and extremely important point: the promotion and development of quality products from the Northern Basque Country (Iparralde), mainly aimed at the Southern Basque Country (Hegoalde) market.

The consolidation of this project not only aims to ensure the future of farming and farmers, based on quality, but also to protect the Basque-speaking world.
