To declare its support for the Herri Urrats party

An appeal to all Basques to support the development or euskara Iparralde, on the 10th of may 2002.

UDALBILTZA wishes to declare its support for HERRI URRATS, the fiesta in favour of ikastolas (Basque schools) in Iparralde. For this reason, it strongly encourages all Basques to go to Senpere next to Sunday, the 12th of May, in order to demand linguistic rights for our language in a festive atmosphere and at the same time one of commitment.

UDALBILTZA stresses that the funds obtained from this fiesta organized by SEASKA in favour of Euskera are destined for the construction and maintenance of ikastolas in Iparralde.

Likewise, UDABILTZA wishes to recall that Euskera, our language and the fundamental of Euskal Herria, is in a constant process of recovery in Navarra; and that, nonetheless, its backward movement in Iparralde is a constant one. To this end, it issues an appeal to increase and make our commitment in favour of Euskera more solid.
