To extend and equip the new Gaindegia offices

GAINDEGIA, that is to say, the OBSERVATORY for the SOCIAL and ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT of THE BASQUE COUNTRY, wishes to open new offices, one of its objectives being to have offices in each of the different administrations in the Basque Country (Euskal Herria).

These offices need to be equipped in order for the members and partners of the Observatory to carry out their work. They therefore need office/stationery equipment and document/work tools (computer infrastructure and Internet).

If all goes well, the Andoain and Bayonne (Baiona) offices shall be open for work in November this year. The target for 2006 is to equip the Pamplona (Iruña) offices.






UDALBIDE collaborates with HEMEN, an association created in 1979, on this project.

The work involves helping companies from the Northern Basque Country (Ipar Euskal Herria) both to create jobs, based on the image of the Basque Country, and to have reliable socioeconomic data about the Northern Basque Country at their disposal.

The project has two fronts. Firstly, to maintain contact between reputed economists and the various cultural, social and economic promoters of the Northern Basque Country. Two matters shall be focused on: local development and a suitable projection of the Image of the Basque Country (Euskal Herria).

Secondly, the Collection of Socioeconomic Data and the publication of the results in the magazine HEMEN and on its Web site.
