 UDALBIDE Elkarlan Elkartea is an Institution comprising Municipalities in Euskal Herria. It constitutes a source of solidarity which was set up in the year 2000 by euskalzale (pro-Basque) institutions and town halls from Euskal Herria for the preservation, development and promotion of Euskera and Basque culture and identity.

The aim of the association is to foster constructive relations between different municipalities from all the Basque territories and initiatives will be promoted that have been agreed upon in areas of language, culture, sports, the environment, territorial organization, economic development and social welfare, as well as in those matters in which municipalities may have competences. The basic aim of the institution is to provide a source of solidarity for the preservation, development and promotion of Euskera and Basque culture in those territories where this aim is not being sufficiently achieved and where Euskera and Basque cultural heritage is less protected. Nowadays, Euskera is a minority language and the heritage of all citizens, whether they are speakers of it or otherwise, and a cultural asset of Europe itself.

Another aim of UDALBIDE is to work to ensure that Basques from different territories may have the chance to familiarize themselves with, relate to and be able to work on projects that help to consolidate and promote a common Basque identity. It personalizes the commitment and the effort made by town halls and other Basque institutions to help to achieve the above-mentioned aims and also to visualize Euskal Herria in all aspects regarding its culture, territory and as a country.
